About CityPay

What is CityPay?

CityPay is a Tbilisi-based cryptocurrency payment gateway, live since 2020, letting WooCommerce stores accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin Cash — with instant settlement in Georgian Lari, US Dollar, Euro, or Turkish Lira. Quickpay's WooCommerce plugin connects your store to CityPay in minutes, with no wallet or blockchain code to write yourself.

CityPay handles the crypto mechanics — generating a unique deposit address per order, watching the blockchain for confirmations, and converting the received coin into your settlement currency; Quickpay handles the technical integration — authenticated API calls, hosted-page redirects, and signed webhooks — so your WooCommerce store just shows CityPay as a normal payment method at checkout. Customers pick a coin, send it from their own wallet, and your order updates automatically once the network confirms the transfer.

Why CityPay

Reach crypto-paying customers without touching a wallet

CityPay handles wallets, blockchain confirmations, and currency conversion — you just see the order paid in your dashboard.

6 cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin Cash, all behind one checkout method.

Instant fiat settlement

Orders settle instantly in Georgian Lari, US Dollar, Euro, or Turkish Lira — you never hold or manage crypto yourself.

600+ Georgian merchants

One of the region's leading crypto payment platforms, already trusted by 600+ merchants across Georgia.

How it works

Order, blockchain confirmation, money received

Quickpay connects WooCommerce and CityPay with a ready-made module — no complex code to write or maintain.

1

Customer checks out

They pick CityPay at WooCommerce checkout and choose a cryptocurrency on a secure hosted payment page.

2

Network confirms the transfer

The customer sends crypto from their own wallet; CityPay watches the blockchain until the transfer is confirmed.

3

You get paid, order confirmed

The customer returns to your store, the order updates automatically, and the funds settle to your CityPay merchant account in fiat.

Features

A full integration, not a thin redirect

Everything a serious store needs to run CityPay day to day.

Native WC payment method

CityPay shows up as a real gateway option in classic and Blocks checkout, with full HPOS support.

Express Buy Now

Add a Pay with CityPay button directly on product pages for a faster checkout.

Manual refunds

CityPay has no refund API, so refunds are processed manually in the CityPay dashboard — mark the WooCommerce order as refunded yourself once you've sent the coins back.

Reliable order sync

Signed webhooks plus a cron fallback mean no order gets stuck pending because a callback was missed.

Branded gateway icon

CityPay shows its own icon at WooCommerce checkout so customers recognize it before they click through to pick a coin.

Full styling control

Button colors, radius, labels and custom CSS, all from the settings page.

Georgian & English

Checkout and admin strings ship in both languages out of the box.

Test mode

Try the full flow against CityPay's sandbox before switching to live credentials.

Updates from WordPress.org

Quickpay.ge is in the official plugin directory, so new versions arrive through the standard WordPress updater.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does the CityPay WooCommerce plugin cost anything?

The Quickpay plugin itself is free. You pay only for the CityPay gateway module you activate in your Quickpay dashboard — a domain-licensed subscription with a free tier for low volume. Quickpay never takes a percentage of your sales.

Do I need my own CityPay account?

Yes. You bring your own CityPay merchant credentials, the same way you'd bring your own BOG or TBC merchant account. Quickpay never uses a shared account on your behalf.

Which cryptocurrencies can my customers pay with?

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin Cash — all offered behind a single CityPay checkout option, with no need to list each coin separately.

Do I ever hold or manage cryptocurrency myself?

No. CityPay settles every order in fiat — Georgian Lari, US Dollar, Euro, or Turkish Lira — straight to your merchant account. You never touch a wallet or private key.

Can I refund a CityPay payment from WooCommerce?

Refunds are processed manually from your CityPay dashboard rather than automatically through WooCommerce, since returning a crypto payment means sending coins back on-chain. CityPay has no refund API, so you'll need to mark the WooCommerce order as refunded yourself once the coins are sent.

Is my customers' payment data safe?

Yes. Customers choose a coin and send it from their own wallet on CityPay's own secure hosted payment page — never on your WordPress site or Quickpay's servers.
