Take payments in person with a printed QR code
Put a QR code on your counter, your delivery bag or your receipt. The customer scans it with their phone camera and pays by card, in installments or with BNPL — no terminal to rent and nothing for them to install.
When the customer is standing in front of you
A link works when you are already in a conversation. A QR code works when you are not — when there is no chat thread to paste into and no keyboard between you and the sale.
Counters and tables
A café, a salon, a small shop. One code by the till, or a table tent per table. The customer pays without you touching their phone or theirs touching your device.
Delivery and couriers
A code on the bag or the receipt turns cash on delivery into a card payment. The courier does not handle money and you see the payment land instantly.
Markets and pop-ups
A stall, a fair, a weekend market. A printed code costs nothing to carry and needs no power, no signal on your side and no rented hardware.
Printed material and packaging
Flyers, product inserts, packaging slips, event handouts. Anywhere a customer might decide to buy while looking at something physical.
Print it once, get paid indefinitely
Create a checkout
Set a fixed amount for a single product, or leave the amount open so the customer types what they owe. Choose which payment methods to show.
Download and print
Every checkout link comes with a QR code you can download as a PNG from your dashboard, ready to print for a counter sign, a table tent or a delivery bag.
The customer scans
Any modern phone camera opens the checkout — no dedicated scanner app. They pay, you both get a receipt, and the payment appears in your dashboard immediately.
One code for everything, or one code per sale
A reusable code
One printed code with an open amount, used by every customer. The customer types what they owe. This is the usual setup for a counter, a tip jar or a donation poster — print it once and never touch it again.
- Print once, reuse indefinitely
- Customer enters the amount
- Best for counters and donations
A per-sale code
Generate a fresh link with the exact amount for one order and show the QR on your own screen. The customer scans a code that already has the right total, so there is nothing for them to type and nothing to get wrong.
- Amount already filled in
- Single-use or capped
- Best for orders and deliveries
A scan opens every method you accept
The QR code opens your normal checkout, so the customer gets the same options they would from a link — cards, bank installments, BNPL, open banking and QR-native providers like Keepz.
No hardware, no rental, no contract
Nothing to rent
A printed code costs the price of the paper. There is no monthly terminal rental and no minimum turnover commitment to hit.
Nothing to charge or carry
No battery, no receipt roll, no pairing. A code in a stand works the same on day one and day four hundred.
Installments at the counter
Bank installments and BNPL appear as options in the checkout — something most physical terminals cannot offer without a separate arrangement.
Every sale is recorded
Each scan creates a real order with a customer record, so your in-person sales sit in the same dashboard and analytics as your online ones.
QR payments, answered
Does the customer need a special app to scan the code?
No. The built-in camera app on any modern iPhone or Android phone reads the code and offers to open the checkout in the browser. There is nothing for them to download.
Do I need a POS terminal or any hardware?
No. The only thing you need is the printed code. Your customer's phone does the work, so there is no terminal to rent, charge, or replace.
Can I reuse the same QR code for every customer?
Yes. A reusable link with an open amount gives you one code that works for everyone — the customer types the amount when they scan. Alternatively you can generate a fresh code per order with the total already filled in.
Can customers pay in installments by scanning?
Yes. The QR code opens your standard checkout, so if you have BOG, TBC or Credo installment modules active, the customer can choose an installment plan the same way they would online.
What happens if I need to change the amount?
If you used an open-amount code, nothing — the customer enters the new amount. If you fixed the amount, edit the checkout link in your dashboard and the existing printed code keeps working with the new price, because the code points at the link rather than the amount.
How big should I print the code?
The downloaded PNG is sized for counter signs, table tents and delivery labels, which is where most in-person payments happen. Two rules matter more than size: keep the pale margin around the code rather than cropping to its edge, and give it enough room on the page that a phone can focus on it comfortably from arm's length.
How do I know a customer actually paid?
The payment appears in your dashboard the moment it completes, and you can have it sent to your phone or your own system by webhook. Both you and the customer get a receipt.
Is this the same thing as a bank QR payment?
It is broader. A bank QR usually only works for that one bank's customers. A Quickpay QR opens a checkout offering every method you have enabled, so a customer can pay by any card, in installments, with BNPL, or through a QR-native provider like Keepz.
